In this year’s ICGET, we are very happy to receive many applications for this years English Oral Presentation Competition, even if it is our first time hosting this event. As much as we would like to have all applicants present their interesting work, the time slots are limited for only 24 finalists. The committee will start reviewing all the abstracts soon and will decide the 24 finalists based on the following principles:

1. The ratio of the 5 topics in the final 24 accepted abstracts will be the same as the ratio of the submitted abstracts.
2. There will be four competition sessions that are not categorized by topics. The contestant with different topics will be evenly distributed.
3. Each session will produce one gold medal, silver medal, and honorable mention.
4. The prize money is NTD $2,000 for gold medalist and NTD $500 for silver medalist.

 

Below are the presentation guidelines

1. Each contestant will give a 10-minute presentation (8 min presentation + 2 min Q&A)
2. Grading scheme: The presentation will be graded based on (1) content. (2) presentation skills, and (3) Q&A performance.
